A Quote for the Day

Goals are great for defining the vision of where you want to go in life, but how you will get there is critical to making your goals a reality. Goals are nothing without a plan of action to move you from point A to point B. (Day 9 - Sister Feelgood by Donna Marie Williams)

Quote for the Day

They were marked as different from other races and they were not treated on an equal basis. This happened because in one part of our country they were feared as competitors, and the rest of our country knew them so little and cared so little about them that they did not even think about the principle that we in this country believe in - that of equal rights for all human beings. - ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

Political Quote for the Day (from a pretty good article)

I don't miss, not even a little, the Crazy Straw logic. That if anyone dared to utter any objection to Palin, supporters would claim that she was more qualified than Obama because she'd made more "executive decisions." Using the same reasoning, the president of the Hair Club For Men would also be more qualified. When they weren't gushing over how Palin's just the kind of woman they'd like to share a diet soda with, they were waiving "executive decisions!" high and ecstatically like a talisman. I'm so very grateful that's over. - Roxana Badin

Quote for the Day

The Republican Congress never once stood up against the Bush/Rove machine that demanded support for unconstitutional wars, attacks on civil liberties here at home, and an economic policy based on more spending, more debt, and more inflation -- while constantly preaching the flawed doctrine that deficits don't matter as long as taxes aren't raised. - Ron Paul's CNN Commentary
